""It’s the end of an era. After more than 75 interviews over six years, Solar Power World editor-in-chief Kelly Pickerel is passing the Contractor’s Corner podcast torch to managing editor Kelsey Misbrener. The SPW team started the interview series back in 2012, before podcasts were even recognized as a valuable media resource. While we have expanded Contractor’s Corner over the years, we have stuck to interviews with solar contractors across all markets, providing an inside look into how the solar installation market is performing across the country. Misbrener will keep up that tradition, and we hope you’ll tune in to her first episode in January 2022!

In the meantime, since there are many episodes to reflect on, Pickerel has pulled together some of her favorite interviews during her tenure as podcast host. While some themes weave throughout — permitting woes are still annoying — it’s nice to remember the hot-button issues of yesteryear and realize just how far the solar industry has come.

As always, you can find the Contractor’s Corner podcast on your favorite podcast app.
